I’m helping build a digital nomad village in Indonesia

Hello inner circle,

I’m headed to an Indonesian island to help build the world’s first digital nomad village!

Let's rewind

The mayor of Bitung, a city in Indonesia, believes that the future of work is nomadic. So he partnered with Nomad Cloud to invite 100 nomads to live in the village of Batu Putih for a month.

I put my name forward by sharing how I make music from beautiful places, and love to share my audio knowledge. A month later when I was sitting on the beach in Turkey fully switched off on a holiday - my next adventure appeared!

What are we going to be doing?

The mayor is blessing us with free accommodation so we can focus on our remote work or creative pursuits 🙏. In return, we’re going to work with locals and provide feedback to the government to help ensure the world's first digital nomad village is a success.

During my month there, I’m aiming to finish up a two-track EP that started from this live looping experiment in Bir. 

Also, I’m going to start pitching my music for film & TV as it's now legally ready! If you know anyone in Netflix or sync licensing - would you please pass this on?

Real talk

This trip ain’t all rosy. It’s a pilot program, the village is hustling to accommodate us, and I’m incurring costs to attend. But something about a diverse group of travellers converging in a jungli environment had me written all over it.

Who knows - perhaps one day I’ll help build a haven for digital & creative nomads in my roots in Dandeli?
