CYMATICS

In 2015 I chanced upon Nigel Stanford’s video “Cymatics: Science Vs Music.” Since then I have been amazed and intrigued by cymatics - the science of visualising sound.

Later that year, I partnered with architect Shehzaad Jeevaji to create "Sonic Explorations" (see above video). This live audiovisual experience was performed as a part of the Festival of Australian Student Theatre in Brisbane, Australia. We invited an audience to interact with live cymatic installations, and learn how the blueprints of nature’s designs - can be found in sound.

8 years later, I find myself constantly being called back to work with cymatics. At Svaram - I met the only other person (potentially) in India that is also working in this niche field.

The next step in my journey as an audio nomad is to set up an immersive sound exhibition - where cymatics will be a core feature.
